Ingersoll Rand has expanded its line of IQV(TM) Series cordless tools to include the D040 1/4" mini drill which weighs less than 2.5 pounds and is less than 7 inches long. The D040 features an industrial-grade 1/4" keyed chuck and is optimized for drilling applications in sheet metal and other tough materials. "The new D040's unique combination of small size and fast speed makes it ideal for tight access metal drilling applications," said Christian Corrigan, Ingersoll Rand global marketing manager for cordless tools. "Unlike most competitive tools which are generally bigger, slower and more screwdriver than drill, the D040 was clearly designed to stand out for small-hole drilling."
