'Coming in a box a small child could happily make their home, the Intellishred SB-89Ci is big, has plenty of lights and enough oomph to justify the bulldog looking serious above the logo. What you get for your money is a shredder that promises to shred between 12 to 20 sheets at a time including staples and paperclips or the odd CD thrown in for good measure. If that wasn't enough to excite the office hound, you also get the promise that it will never jam, it won't slice and dice your fingers and hacks trying to piece your data back together will struggle due to a cross-cut size of 3.9 x 38mm.'

CNET have published a review of the T-Mobile @Home wireless router. 'When T-Mobile introduced its HotSpot @Home service last year, we praised it for finally freeing us from the tyranny of the landline. The service lets you make and receive calls via Wi-Fi (as long as you have a compatible cell phone) in addition to the regular cell phone network. Therefore, you could just make calls for "free" (there's a monthly fee) as long as you're within range of a Wi-Fi signal.

But T-Mobile received complaints that people still were not ready to give up their landlines. The idea of one central home telephone is still a strong one, and using a cell phone when chatting at home is not something a lot of people wanted to adopt. With that, T-Mobile developed a VoIP solution aptly called T-Mobile @Home. All you need is a special router from T-Mobile, a broadband connection, and a regular touch-tone phone. Put it all together, and you're done. Of course, you can also use this router for the HotSpot @Home service mentioned earlier. The router is priced at $149.99, but you can get it for $49.99 with a two-year service agreement. The @Home service will cost you $10 a month on top of your existing wireless plan.'

CNET have published a review of the Tonium Pacemaker which is a portable music player equipped with an extensive range of professional audio manipulation features enabling limitless mixing between two independent channels. 'The Pacemaker's minimal, matte black aesthetic is enough to make any red-blooded gadget hound salivate, regardless of DJ skill. In fact, those with a keen eye for tech design will appreciate that the Pacemaker is one of the first products of its kind to include features such as multigesture track pad control and an LED lit touch strip crossfader.

The suggestion that the Pacemaker's eight buttons can accomplish the same tasks as a full-fledged DJ setup would make even the most sleep-deprived club jockey raise an eyebrow. Trusted Reviews have publsihed a review of the HP OfficeJet Pro K5400n Inkjet Printer. 'The OfficeJet Pro K5400n uses semi-permanent print heads, arranged so that there's one for yellow and black inks and another for cyan and magenta. The ink cartridges themselves, four individual units, plug in behind a rather obvious and ugly pull-down cover on the left-hand side of the printer, while the print heads plug into the machine's carriage. The rest of the design is fairly minimalist, with a four-button control panel, providing buttons for power, paper feed, job cancel and network access, as well as six indicator lights for faults with cartridges or print heads. There's a single, 350-sheet paper tray, with no supplementary multi-purpose or photo tray and no memory card slots to print photos directly.'

Pocket-Lint have published a review of the Belkin Laptop Cooling Stand. 'It’s fitted with a single fan, which we found ran quietly but is powerful enough to cool your notebook efficiently. It’s powered through your machine using USB, so setup is easy. Being a single fan, power consumption isn’t too high but we’d only really use it when at a desk – even though Belkin suggest the stand has been designed to easily take on the move with you.'

Trusted Reviews have publsihed a review of the Magellan Maestro 4245 GPS device. 'Amazingly, for a top-end satellite navigation device, the Maestro 4245 doesn't have seven digit postcode lookup. Instead, if you type in a postcode, it'll more often than not require you to enter a street name and house number too. And its navigation and voice instructions aren't particularly polished either. The device seems to randomly lose its GPS lock and then when it reconnects it often gets confused as to where you are and what direction you're travelling in. The screen doesn't update smoothly, so in-town navigation can be hit and miss.'

A review of the Tekkeon TekCharge MP1800 has been posted over at CNET. 'The MP1800's design couldn't be simpler. Its main component is the battery used for powering your phone. At 3.3 inches by 2.1 inches by 1.1 inches and weighing 4.5 ounces, it takes up little room in a bag and it won't weigh you down. You get a convenient tote case in the box and though Tekkeon included a lanyard, we can't imagine anyone would want to wear the MP1800 around his or her neck. The battery is covered in black plastic with gray caps at either end. Raised ridges on either spine of the battery make it easy to grasp. Along the top edge are a power switch and a tiny LED. A small flashlight sits at one end of the battery, and USB and mini USB ports for the charging cable sit on the other end.'

The Gadgeteer have published their review of the Black & Decker VPX Starter Set. 'The entire VPX product family is driven off the 7V Li-Ion battery technology. Understand that certain tools in the product line require more than one battery to operate but each product in the Starter Set utilizes 1 VPX 7V rechargeable Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion) battery for power, which is very convenient. The Register Hardware have published a review of the iRobot Roomba 560 robot vacuum cleaner. ‘The Roomba is cleverly programmed, and it's a treat to watch it skimming along next to a skirting board, its little side brush whirling to scoop all the crud from the edge of the room. It does a lot better than you'd think at getting into corners, too. All in all, it's a nice piece of engineering, though in many ways the simplicity of the controls is rather a disappointment. For a gadget this expensive, you're almost expecting to be offered a Wi-Fi web interface or an icon moving around on a map of your house or something. You'd be totally out of luck with that last one, as the Roomba doesn't know where it is. It detects walls and so on at short range, and the little IR beacons on the virtual-barrier/lighthouse units and the power dock from across a room, but otherwise it's blind.’
