#89 Designed by Firefighters, for Firefighters and First Responders
MEADVILLE, Pa.- Firefighters, first responders and EMTs now have another innovative, quality hand tool from CHANNELLOCK® to help them perform life-saving jobs in emergency situations - the #89 Rescue Tool. Launched on the heels of last year's ground-breaking #88 Rescue Tool, CHANNELLOCK® utilized feedback from fire service professionals and enhanced the design and functionality for the #89.

Manufactured in Meadville, Pa., the #89 combines multiple essential functions into one lightweight tool, eliminating the weight and bulk of carrying many tools. The principal feature of the #89 Rescue Tool is a hardened cutting edge designed to shear through soft metal and standard battery cables. Other features include:
Narrow jaw that fits into tight spaces
Tapered pry wedge to open doors and windows
Spanner wrench tightens and loosens up to 6-inch hose couplings

Window punch that easily shatters safety glass
