WD-40's New Uses
WD-40 (Water Displacement perfected on the 40th try) is the trademarked water-displacing spray of the Rocket Chemical Company. Traditional uses of WD-40 have included the removal of grease, lubrication of locks, hinges and all moving parts of bikes and tools. Additionally, WD-40 removes paint, gum, rubber cement, rubber adhesive, stickers and loosens and penetrates rusted or stuck bolts and plumbing joints.
Here are ten new uses of WD-40
1. Cleaning exterior doors of wood pellet stoves
2. Revitalizing the color on faded vinyl shutters
3. Cleaning and polishing brushed aluminum face plates on old stereo receivers
4. Cleaning and shining bathroom formica tiles
5. Removing residue that remains after removing calcification (caused
by mineral water) from ceramic pots
6. Lubricating the plastic connection of an automobile headlamp retaining nut
7. Removing paint from dungaree clothing
8. Lubricating wheels on power wheelchairs
9. Removing dried contact cement from hair
