Toolmonger have published their "Hands on " review of the Skil 4690 Orbital Cut Scrolling Jigsaw. 'The 4690 includes a slim hard case the that doesn’t take up much more space than the saw and is easy to transport to the jobsite — or stuff in the back of a truck or toolbox. Lifting the saw out of the case, we noticed that the saw is reasonably light — just 5.7 pounds — which isn’t bad considering its six amp power plant. It’s comfortable to grip, and its smooth two-fingered trigger — right under the handle — controls the saw’s variable speed mechanism, delivering 800 to 3,200 strokes per minute.

Metabo Corporation has introduced the new Model FSR200 palm-sized orbital sander which is suitable for sanding and fine finishing of painted and unfinished wood surfaces. 'The FSR200 orbital finishing sander features 11,000 orbits per minute at an orbit size of 1/16". A “Hands On” review of the Dremel 18″ Scroll Station has been posted over at Toolmonger. ‘The Dremel Scroll Station is heavy – 49 pounds to be exact. Once freed from the cardboard, the Dremel’s top handle made it much simpler to haul around. It’s still heavy, but as we found out later, that works to its advantage. The first thing we noticed was that the power switch and variable speed control are located right on top of the upper arm. This is good for two reasons: you don’t have to reach behind or around anything to power the saw down in an emergency, and it”s simple to see how fast you have the saw set and to adjust it as needed.’
