Auto Express have published their review of twelve handheld vacuum cleaners. 'Handhelds are designed to be easier to use than larger domestic or garage vacs, so length, weight balance and bulk were all key here. We also focused on attachments, as you'll need a crevice tool to get into hard-to-reach places, plus wider heads for carpets. To test suction, we laid out lines of crushed biscuits and sugar on a floor mat, and then measured how much each vacuum cleared in one pass. When it came to cordless cleaners, we wanted them to have a usable battery life. And we measured power cables on the 12V and 230V cleaners, looking for them to be able to reach the boot from the cigarette socket.'

PC Magazine have published a review of the CarMD handheld diagnostic tool. 'The CarMD handheld feels like a large but lightweight cell phone. It's constructed from cheap-feeling silver plastic, with a non-backlit LCD readout and three LED lights--green, yellow, and red, which are there to indicate whether or not your car will pass inspection. For this review, I tested the latest CarMD 2100 Handheld Device & Software Kit. This model is flash-updatable, covers 2010 vehicles and the latest clean diesel models, and includes version 3.0 software for both Macs and PCs. I installed the Mac-compatible software on a new iMac with 4GB of RAM and Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard).'
